The Vidya Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, founded in 1971 by Padmashri Kamalatai Hospet and headed by Shri Ranjit Deshmukh, former minister for Agriculture & Textile, Maharashtra, has established more than 50 educational institutes including the prestigious NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Nagpur.

With noted educationist Shri Bhau Bhoge as Founder, the Society is running II Arts & Commerce colleges, One M.B.A. college, one B.Ed. & D.Ed. college, one college each in Medical, Physiotherapy and Dental, one Science college, one Polytechnic, one ITI, 4 junior colleges, 14 middle schools and 7 primary schools among others.

The Central Institute of Business Management Research and Development, Nagpur, is affiliated to the Nagpur University and approved by the AICTE.

Started in 1994, CIBMRD is equipped with state-of-the-art training facilities including a computer lab. A library housing the largest number of management books under Nagpur University and a Training & Placement Cell that ensure continuous interaction of the students with industries and major corporate houses.

CIBMRD has already established itself as a niche institute and its graduates are sought after by leading public, private and MNC.
